BLAZING POWER W-160KL offers 160 kVA / 128 kW for large three-phase equipment groups, imaging departments and industrial systems. It uses an output isolation transformer and separate main and bypass input circuits. Battery backup is provided by an external 384 VDC bank configured for the site's load and required duration.
Check the largest demand event first
At 160 kVA, selection often turns on a few high-demand events: a medical scanner cycle, a machine startup or multiple loads changing state together. The equipment supplier's electrical data and the plant load schedule take priority over a simple sum of nominal kVA figures.
The main input operates over 285–485 V AC line-to-line; static bypass is rated for 304–456 V AC line-to-line. Confirm the upstream arrangement against both ranges rather than assuming the bypass follows the rectifier window.
160 kVA installation types
If a project contains several imaging or industrial loads, include the operating schedule. Not every machine peaks at the same time, but assuming that none do can also lead to an undersized system.
Battery configuration
The W-160KL uses an external VRLA battery bank. The nominal system is 384 VDC with 32 × 12 V batteries. The battery quantity can be configured from 29 to 32 batteries, corresponding to 348 / 360 / 372 / 384 VDC.
Charging voltage is adjustable from 395–435 VDC. The manufacturer lists charging-current values of up to 40 A and 5 A at full UPS load. Available charging current depends on UPS loading and the supplied charger configuration. Battery Ah capacity should be selected based on the connected load and required backup time.

Installation considerations
Prepare separate calculations for upstream AC power, outgoing load circuits and the DC battery link. Battery discharge current and conductor sizing depend on actual load and cable length, not just UPS kVA.
Confirm lifting and service access for the 705 x 1051 x 1646 mm, 760 kg cabinet. Any generator or external maintenance bypass should be coordinated with the project's single-line diagram.

For sizing support, provide the protected-load schedule, simultaneous peak demand, site input/output voltage, required battery autonomy and generator or bypass arrangements. The UPS and battery system must be specified together.
