BLAZING POWER W-160KL is a 160 kVA / 128 kW three-phase low frequency online UPS for industrial equipment, medical imaging systems and other large critical loads. It uses online double-conversion technology with a built-in output isolation transformer, dual-input design and an external 384 VDC battery system.
Built for medium-to-large three-phase loads
The W-160KL is intended for projects where the protected load requires more capacity than a 100 or 120 kVA UPS, or where additional operating margin is needed. At this power level, cable size, breaker selection, battery discharge current and generator matching should be checked as part of the UPS design.
Typical applications for a 160 kVA UPS
A 160 kVA low frequency UPS is typically used for medium-to-large three-phase loads where continuous online power, electrical isolation and an external battery bank are required.
For medical imaging and industrial projects, the 160 kVA rating should not be selected from the equipment nameplate alone. Final sizing should be checked against actual kW load, peak demand, load power factor, battery charging demand and any planned expansion.
Battery configuration
The W-160KL uses an external battery bank with a nominal DC voltage of 384 V. The standard configuration is 32 × 12 V batteries in series, with 29–32 batteries adjustable according to the UPS configuration.
Battery capacity should be selected according to the real kW load and required backup time. Runtime should not be estimated from the 160 kVA UPS rating alone.

Installation considerations
Before installation, confirm the actual load in kW and kVA, maximum operating current, cable route and length, battery backup time, DC breaker rating, AC breaker rating, ventilation and maintenance clearance.
For a 160 kVA UPS, power and battery cables should be sized from the actual project current and installation distance. If the UPS is supplied by a generator, generator capacity should include the UPS input demand, battery charging load and load-step characteristics.
