Product Description

The BLAZING POWER W-100KL is a 100 kVA / 80 kW three-phase low frequency online UPS for industrial and infrastructure loads that require continuous double-conversion power and galvanic isolation. The unit uses a built-in isolation transformer, accepts dual-mains input, and connects to an external battery bank. Its nominal battery system is 384 VDC using 32 * 12 V batteries, with the battery quantity adjustable from 29 to 32 units.

At 380 V, the rated output current is approximately 152 A per phase. The cabinet measures 975 * 554 * 1286 mm (D * W * H) and has a net weight of approximately 573 kg. Final cable size, protection devices, battery capacity and floor-loading checks should be confirmed against the actual load and site conditions.

Key features
Online double-conversion The inverter continuously supplies the load during normal operation.
Built-in galvanic isolation transformer Provides electrical isolation between the UPS output and the protected load.
Dual-mains input Main input and bypass input can be supplied from separate sources where the project requires it.
0 ms transfer to battery The online architecture maintains the load supply when the utility source is lost.
Adjustable battery quantity Supports 29–32 batteries in series; 32 * 12 V gives the nominal 384 VDC system.
Parallel operation Up to 4 units can be configured in parallel as an option for capacity or redundancy.

Where the 100 kVA rating fits

The W-100KL sits between the 80 kVA and 120 kVA models in the same low-frequency UPS platform. It is intended for projects where the connected load is too large for the 80 kVA unit but does not require the additional capacity of the 120 kVA model. Selection should be based on the real load list, starting current, load power factor, expected future expansion and required battery runtime.

A 100 kVA low frequency UPS is typically used for medium-to-large three-phase loads that require continuous online power, galvanic isolation and external battery backup.

Typical applications include medical imaging equipment such as selected CT, DR and X-ray systems, industrial automation and production lines, CNC support equipment, PLC and control systems, data rooms, edge data centers, pumping stations, water treatment systems, telecom rooms, pipeline stations and other critical infrastructure.

The W-100KL is especially suitable for projects where utility voltage is unstable, generator operation is involved, or the load requires a built-in isolation transformer and 0 ms transfer to battery.

Final UPS sizing should be based on the actual kW load, peak or starting current, load power factor, required backup time and future expansion, rather than selecting the UPS only by equipment nameplate capacity.

Medical imaging power: selected CT and other three-phase imaging installations after verification of the equipment input and peak load.
Industrial production: PLC, control systems, CNC support equipment and process loads requiring isolated online power.
Data and control rooms: centralized three-phase UPS protection for racks, network infrastructure and facility control systems.
Utility and infrastructure sites: pumping, telemetry, compressor, pipeline and other continuously operated electrical systems.
Battery configuration and runtime

The standard DC system uses 32 * 12 V batteries in series for a nominal 384 VDC battery bus. The UPS can also be configured for 29, 30 or 31 batteries when required by the project. Battery Ah capacity is selected separately according to the actual kW load and requested backup time.

For project sizing, provide the real load in kW or kVA, expected load power factor, required runtime, battery type, site temperature and whether future expansion is planned. This avoids selecting a battery bank only from the UPS nameplate rating.

Installation notes
AC input Confirm feeder voltage, phase sequence, upstream breaker rating and cable length.
Bypass source For dual-input projects, confirm whether the bypass is supplied from the same source or a separate source/generator.
Battery bank Match the actual battery quantity to the UPS battery-count setting. Size DC cable and protection from discharge current and cable length.
Floor & access Allow for the 472 kg cabinet weight, service clearance, ventilation and cable entry arrangement.
Parallel system Parallel operation up to 4 units is optional and should be specified before order.
FAQ
Is W-100KL a 100 kW UPS?

No. This low-frequency model is rated at 100 kVA / 80 kW, corresponding to an output power factor of 0.8 for the series rating.

Does the W-100KL have an isolation transformer?

Yes. The low-frequency W Series uses a galvanic isolation transformer design.

How many batteries are used with the 100 kVA UPS?

The standard configuration is 32 * 12 V batteries for 384 VDC nominal. The battery quantity is adjustable from 29 to 32. Battery Ah capacity depends on the actual load and required backup time.

Can the W-100KL work with separate mains and bypass sources?

Yes. The series supports dual-mains input, allowing the main rectifier input and bypass input to be supplied separately when required by the project design.

Can multiple W-100KL units operate in parallel?

Yes. Parallel operation with up to 4 units is available as an option.
