At 40 kVA / 32 kW, the W-40KL can cover a defined production area or a larger three-phase control distribution. The UPS has separate main and bypass feeds and an output isolation transformer. It is designed for external batteries, allowing backup duration to be specified for the actual operating load.
When one production area shares a UPS
Grouping several loads simplifies the power arrangement but makes peak demand harder to estimate. Calculate simultaneous operation, including any motors and drives that start together; also decide which machines can stop safely without battery support.
The 40 kVA nameplate does not mean every connected 40 kVA group will operate acceptably under all transient conditions. Review the machine electrical data and the specified overload limits.

Battery configuration
The W-40KL uses an external VRLA battery bank. The nominal system is 384 VDC with 32 × 12 V batteries. The battery quantity can be configured from 29 to 32 batteries, corresponding to 348 / 360 / 372 / 384 VDC.
Charging voltage is adjustable from 395–435 VDC. The manufacturer lists charging-current values of up to 40 A and 5 A at full UPS load. Available charging current depends on UPS loading and the supplied charger configuration. Battery Ah capacity should be selected based on the connected load and required backup time.

Installation considerations
At this size, include upstream protection and cable voltage drop in the single-line diagram. Check that each phase is loaded appropriately and that the upstream bypass source is compatible.
The enclosure is 432 × 821 × 1159 mm and weighs 278 kg, excluding external batteries. Leave room for the DC cabinet and for access to the separate main and bypass connections.
